
David Idris is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Glemad.
He works at the intersection of artificial intelligence, security engineering, and large-scale infrastructure, with a focus on building intelligent systems that can help secure the world’s digital civilization.
Since founding Glemad in 2020, Idris has led research and engineering across artificial intelligence, autonomous defense, security reasoning, and infrastructure systems. He has directed the development of multiple generations of AI security models and the systems required to deploy them in complex operational environments.
His background spans software engineering, systems design, applied machine learning, product development, and the management of technical teams building secure and scalable platforms.
At Glemad, Idris focuses on long-term research, model safety, deployment frameworks, and the practical challenges of bringing advanced intelligence into regulated and consequential environments. His work is guided by clarity of thought, disciplined engineering, and the belief that dependable systems must be built for long-term trust.
He also established the Glemad Young Researchers Fellowship to support emerging researchers working across artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, security, and safety research.
Idris continues to lead Glemad’s research and technical direction, with the goal of advancing artificial intelligence as a dependable layer of defense for organizations and infrastructure around the world.
