Founders’ Letter: The Commitments That Define Glemad

This sets forth the commitments that define Glemad - the intentions behind its creation, the principles that shape its direction, and the long-term responsibilities we accept in developing advanced intelligence.

Glemad was founded to pursue a clear purpose: to build and understand intelligence in a way that strengthens the systems society relies on. As technology becomes more deeply woven into the world’s infrastructure, the stability, reasoning, and alignment of intelligent systems will matter more than individual breakthroughs or short-term achievements.

We created Glemad to meet this responsibility with clarity and discipline.

    Our commitments

We operate with a set of commitments that guide our decisions beyond any single project or milestone.

    1. To pursue intelligence with seriousness

The development of advanced intelligence is not a technological trend, it is a long-term scientific responsibility. Our work must be careful, grounded, and principled. We move with purpose, not momentum.

    2. To align capability with responsibility

Intelligence will become central to critical systems. It must function predictably under uncertainty, remain aligned as it scales, and operate within well-defined boundaries. This principle shapes how we design, evaluate, and deploy every system.

    3. To build systems that can be trusted

Trust is earned through transparency, stability, and rigorous evaluation. Our goal is not to build systems that simply perform well, but systems that behave consistently, interpret complexity with clarity, and maintain integrity in environments where reliability matters.

    4. To uphold long-term stewardship

The future of intelligence requires institutions that think beyond immediate outcomes. Our horizon spans decades. We measure progress not only by what we build, but by the standards we refuse to compromise.

    Why we built this institution

Glemad exists because the world needs intelligence that is dependable; not just powerful. Systems that assist rather than overwhelm. Systems that enhance stability rather than introduce fragility. Systems whose reasoning can be examined, understood, and aligned.

We believe such intelligence can be built only through disciplined research, principled engineering, and an uncompromising view of responsibility.

“The systems we create today will shape the institutions of tomorrow. Our obligation is to develop intelligence with enough clarity, rigor, and restraint to earn the trust the world will place in it.”
; David Idris, Founder & CEO

    Looking forward

This letter is not a conclusion. It is a statement of intent the standards we hold ourselves to as we advance our research, build new capabilities, and begin shaping the intelligence systems that will define the coming era.

Glemad’s work will evolve, but these commitments will remain constant.
